Sculpture and Installation

Art and design are heavily grounded in problem solving, to me this idea is never more obvious than in sculpture. My sculpture work is often humanoid or somehow interactive with the body.

Pudge

This darling, sentient seeming, creature like sculpture was created from spray insulation foam, umbrella parts and string. Pudge, while partially made of metal still has intriguing imperfections and almost humanoid qualities. His slightly forward leaning posture gives the impression that he may come to life at any moment and follow you on your next adventure.

Headless Tee

An interactive piece, the Headless Tee is a nonfunctional shirt. I have long struggled with the fear of being trapped or stuck, I have been known to throw a small tantrum whenever caught in clothing for any length of time. This piece comes from that feeling of frustration and entanglement.

THE HAND

Mind Over Body Exhibition

Solo Exhibition discussing mental health and body insecurity. This body of work uses large installations and depictions to visually communicate feeling stuck, hopeless and anxious. The subjects are in various stages of their journey encompassed by womb-like cocoons symbolizing healing and safety.
